Refund Policy

1. General Refund Policy

All rentals from A Whimsical Event Rental, LLC require a non‑refundable deposit to secure your date and equipment. Because our items are reserved exclusively for your event, all deposits are non‑refundable under all circumstances.
 

2. Customer‑Initiated Cancellations

Refund eligibility depends on when the cancellation occurs:

  • More than 7 days before the event: The deposit is non‑refundable. Any additional payments made beyond the deposit may be refunded or applied as a one‑time credit toward a rescheduled event within 12 months.

  • Within 7 days of the event: The deposit is forfeited. Additional payments may not be refundable and may be subject to cancellation fees.

  • Within 24 hours of the event: The full rental balance may be charged. No refunds will be issued.
     

3. Weather‑Related Cancellations

Weather cancellations follow our Weather & Cancellation Policy. If we determine that weather conditions are unsafe for setup or operation, you may:

  • Reschedule once within 12 months at no additional cost, or

  • Receive a raincheck credit for the amount paid (excluding the non‑refundable deposit)

No refunds are issued for weather‑related cancellations, whether initiated by the customer or the company.
 

4. No Refunds After Delivery or Setup

Once equipment has been delivered, set up, or made available for pickup:

  • No refunds will be issued

  • This applies even if the equipment is not used

  • This includes customer‑initiated cancellations, weather changes, or event‑day issues outside our control
     

5. Refunds for Company‑Initiated Cancellations

If A Whimsical Event Rental, LLC must cancel due to equipment failure, staff emergency, or other circumstances unrelated to weather or customer error:

  • You may receive a full refund, including your deposit, OR

  • Choose to reschedule at no additional cost

This does not apply to cancellations caused by unsafe weather conditions.
 

6. Damage, Cleaning, and Additional Fees

Refunds will not be issued for:

  • Damage fees

  • Excessive cleaning fees

  • Lost or stolen items

  • Late return or late pickup fees

These charges are outlined in your rental agreement and are the responsibility of the customer.
 

7. Digital Products or Online Payments

If your website accepts online payments:

  • Processing fees charged by payment platforms (e.g., Stripe, Square, PayPal) may be non‑refundable

  • Refunds, when applicable, may be issued minus these fees depending on the processor’s policies

8. How to Request a Refund or Credit

To request a refund review or apply for a reschedule credit, contact us:
